A Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a warehouse facility, including inventory control, shipping and receiving, staff supervision, safety compliance, and overall warehouse efficiency. The Warehouse Manager ensures products are stored properly, orders are processed accurately, and operations run smoothly to support company goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory, and shipping.
- Supervise warehouse staff, assign tasks, and monitor productivity.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform routine cycle counts.
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments with vendors, suppliers, and carriers.
- Ensure all materials and products are stored safely and organized properly.
- Enforce workplace safety standards and OSHA compliance requirements.
- Train employees on warehouse procedures, equipment use, and safety practices.
- Monitor warehouse equipment and coordinate maintenance or repairs as needed.
- Develop and improve warehouse processes for efficiency and cost control.
- Prepare reports related to inventory, shipping, labor, and warehouse performance.
- Ensure timely fulfillment of customer or project orders.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the warehouse facility.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Previous warehouse, logistics, or inventory management experience.
- Leadership and team management experience preferred.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory systems, and shipping procedures.
- Forklift certification preferred.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and warehouse safety standards.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift and move materials as required.
